Cook bots started in 2014. Tart was the first of the cook bots, made from an old Cream of Tart tin. Tart and the first batch of cook bots were all made out of spice tins that Nancy salvage out of her great aunt’s kitchen cabinets. Since then, most of the tins are found at antique stores and garage sales.
Cook bots are made from old spice tins, tea tins, and any other tins that are related to cooking, baking, or anything related to the kitchen. Most of these tins rang in age from the 30’s to the 80’s. The tins have since been replaced in the 80’s by plastic and glass containers.
Skarda was the first bot, in 2017, to use an 8-track for a head. Most of the 8-track are from secondhand stores and garage sales. 8-tracks were a popular form of playing music from the 60’s to the 80’s. They were replaced be cassette tapes in the 80’s.
