About

Tin bots started in 2016. Jiffy was the first of the tin bots, made from a vintage Imperial Brush Cleaner tin, Nancy found while cleaning out her great aunt’s art studio. Tin bots are vintage tins from the 40’s to the 80’s, that don’t belong to any other bot group. All graphics, on the tins are original. Nancy tries to find tins with interesting typography and unique colors. Most of these tins are found at antique stores and estate sales.

Another Part First

Seal was the first bot, in 2016, to use a vintage, metal recipe box as a head. The box was turned upside down to give the bot a mouth. Many of these boxes have been used along with other metal filing boxes. These boxes range in different sizes and colors. Some boxes are left in their natural state, while others have been painted.
